I am very disappointed in you, Sweden. We had such a nice and fair 1-on-1 fight going on. Sure, there were some pesky Finnish divisions that tried to attack Narvik early on, and those Finnish warships that helped flatten xOslo but after that it's been a real entertaining battle. But now you've gone and thrown it all away....
I mean, a little air support I can understand. But having your allies send every bomber they have (at least I certainly hope that was it) to Arendal after my army just cleared the mess your littering marines left on the beach was definitely uncalled for. You really need their help? Can't handle Norway on your own, even after Finland gave you a head start?
Hardly all, but close to a quarter.

Hey, I can only go on what I see in the RWE, so of course I am missing part of the story.
And about the political situation:
It would seen logical to divide the world in as few teams as possible. It would certainly mean an easier map.
The inactivity ot the western islands makes everyone a bit paranoid. If they choose the weakest point to gain a common beachhead that point would be in deep trouble.
And for Africa: the Moroccans don't agree with you and the picture is a bit murky with all the phoney wars, 2dn and 3rd layer TA's et cetera.
The enemy of mij friend is my enemy?
Buit what is the enemy of a friend of a friend of a friend of a co-belligerent?
Me being TA'd with Egypt, who is TA'd with Turkey, who is TA'd with Bulgaria, who is TA'd with Hungary, who is definitely not at wat with you but with the rest of the Balkan Penisula, who themselves are at (phoney) war with Green, who definately is at war with pink and you are not impartial in that war?
I am getting a headacheI can clear up part of that. The Central Europeans are allied to my group, as it's convenient to keep the Balkan hordes at bay. Denmark and Lowlands were original members of Green team, but as they became inconvenient, they no longer exist, and we are not at war with the rest of them. Will we be soon? Perhaps, depends on Italy and their new pal Austria. Probably a bad time for the Wehrmacht to be in Denmark.

Your memory playing tricks on you?
Form the RWE, 4th turn:Sweden has declared war on Denmark
Greece has declared war on Bulgaria
Poland has declared war on Denmark
Tunisia has declared war on Morocco
Syria has declared war on Egypt
France has declared war on Lowlands
Finland has declared war on Norway
Finland has declared war on Denmark
Baltic States has declared war on Denmark
Saudi Arabia has declared war on Egypt
Sweden has declared war on Norway
Iraq has declared war on Southern Russia
Iraq has declared war on Egypt
Iraq has declared war on Tunisia
Iraq has declared war on Libya
Iraq has declared war on Algeria
Trans-Jordan has declared war on Egypt
Portugal has declared war on France
Denmark has declared war on GermanyThe entire TA that you are a part of DW'd 0f on Denmark before he did anything against noble, peaceloving Germany.
Doesn't tell the entire story. On turn 3, Denmark tried to break with Germany. My Ta's then DW to do recons, then on turn 4 he broke and invaded with two mech armies. So we smote him.

Why is Germany constantly throwing shade on Africa? We are embroiled in the Middle East as well as with Greece’s group now! Perhaps the Germans are feeling nervous as Spain, Italy, and Portugal approach your borders!
Lol, wasn't aware I was throwing shade on Africa. I think it's pretty much pacified, and I think that's pretty much obvious.

So with Africa virtually subdued, I guess Spain and Italy had best watch their backsides.

Will you stop bombing my armies then? Norway never declared war on anyone, and yet you are still sending those damned Junkers my way!
Quit whining. I've only hit you with one group each of the last two turns, sheesh. After your horrific war crimes against the Swedish civilian population, you have earned it!
-
Actually, that's untrue, they all dw Denmark AFTER Denmark DW Germany, that's a fact.
-
Denmark invaded Germany, what were we supposed to do? I didn't even attempt to break with them, the German people are peace loving.
-
We hear rumors of war on our southern borders. Hopefully they aren't planning to attack the peace loving people of Germany.

Or should the TA agreements show up in the RWE report, like DW and peace agreements?
I like this idea

I was asking if you can attack red?

I completely concur with your conclusion about dropped positions. Players who drop with a viable position, because they don't think they can win, are the bane of Victory!

Your TA has already refused us. I dont like dropping early, but dont want to pay just to be a thorn in the side of the eventual winners. I have no suggestions as your TA team is in control of all access routes to all other players.
Red?

The map halfway through turn 14.
We are at 15 now.Ik shows the african and red alliance pushing into the middle east, were resistance is weakening,
Bellinzona falls to Italy
Luxemburg falls to France and
Poland pushes into Rumania.
And I colored the Faeroe islands purple, as there must be a reasonfor Iceland to DW on Denmark. This is the only one I could come up with.
The delicate balance of power in Europe will no doubt change, when the western alliance decides to take a hand. The way the alliances against yellow wrap 3/4 around them is a bit disturbing.

What exactly do you mean? Which groups and members are you talking about?
Lukas was talking about Austria. They've been allied with Italy from the start, and Lowlands and Denmark, two original members of that alliance, are no longer with us. You've received plenty of help from the Russians, even if it's mainly informational. German's hardly have enough bombers to make a difference.
-
Well, they've been allied with that group since the start, and since 2 of the original members are no longer with us, it's not a big surprise.

The map at the middle of turn 11.- The Africans (Orange) are mopping up Morocco while gaining a strong foothold in the middle east, putting that alliance at a disadvantage with all the ARM production down.
- The Middle East tries to mop up the African Incursions, while mounting counter-invasions and trying to stem the incursions from the north. And breeding more sheep.
- In the Balkan there is a mopping race to see if Bulgaria can be conquered before Rumania is.
- The Yellow Alliance *central Europe) is mopping up Denmark and Lowlands,
- The green alliance in Western Europe tries to mop up Switzerland and France, while those countries are mopping up Lowlands. Not clear about the war between Greece and Italy.
- Nothing clear yet about the position of the Islands and Austria. How long does it take for a LSM to cross the Atlantic? Some excellent points. Morocco is obviously dead, and the 2 African alliances are obviously friendly. ME may be the first large TA to expire. Don't see yellow in Lowlands. Green looks strong in the south, but has lost Lowlands and Denmark, cutting dramatically into their potential power. Greece-Italy has all the hallmarks of a phony war.
Every western European country is asking themselves where will the western alliance strike? They've declined political entanglements on the continent, and clearly won't be content to sit and watch. Austria is a real poser, with Italy possibly able to supply answers, since they have an alliance. Norway and Northern Russia are effectively TA with the Balkan/CR group, giving the game multiple super alliances.
-
A bit of green creep north. Odd to see that yellow speck surrounded by blue.
-
Well, you seem to be at war with the Arab group, if I read the map correct, they're at war with the Balkan Group and the ME group, who are at war with our group and the Central European group.
-
I think this might be the greatest intermixing of wars I can remember. Other then the western nations, virtually everybody has chosen a side in the European war.
-
I get that Dag, and appreciate that you post the maps. As for the CL, though there may be an aspect of gaminess to it, it's such a common practice that it's SOP to DW all TA's. Shouldn't ever be a big issue, though sometimes people forget.
-
Excellent work Dag, but you missed RWE in Denmark I think.

The reason I say it’s gamey is that this order is impossible to counter and for some reason one of the techs was left without a unit that could exploit it. There are many examples of ‘fictitious’ units in the game for balance but this was overlooked it seems.
Apparently those TR units with an actual TAS rating can bypass all FC’s or INT’s. This was obviously not intended but it’s part of the game and as such will enable these units to gather critical intel unimpeded. Seems like an exploit to me.
Sorry, but I've intercepted many TR's. Any country can do them, one fighter is all that's needed. TR is incredibly useful, while at the same time being incredibly realistic. I like you Fremen, but in this you're very wrong.
-
Tactical recons are a gamey tactic? I couldn't disagree more with that. It's impossible to have a game actually be completely realistic, so the CL order can be misused, but I see that as a minor inconvenience. I recall being blocked by your group in Iberia in game 101 by the CL order, and blaming myself for not DW all TA's. If you TA 1, you should probably TA all, standard Victory! tactic.
Danny, I think your post was excellent, and I'll be happy to fight you or work with you in any game.

Green sure is creeping north. The middle east is confusing.
