Im the only one standing against the "Western Alliance" Ignore the English, Frankfurt is defended, he just wants it for himself. Dont be fooled, stay away anyone who sets foot in Frankfurt will die Standing is not the same as being overrun. They probably won't even feel the sponges they are crushing under there tracks. Our forces have fought a valiant battle against the aggressors but to save further bloodshed we have ordered our troops to stand down. The remaining armies will of course fight a resistance campaign while we set up a Government in Exile. As a Government in Exile we will do our utmost to try and liberate our people and our nation but hear this - We will always be Free in our hearts and minds - We shall return. Our forces have fought a valiant battle against the aggressors but to save further bloodshed we have ordered our troops to stand down. The remaining armies will of course fight a resistance campaign while we set up a Government in Exile. As a Government in Exile we will do our utmost to try and liberate our people and our nation but hear this - We will always be Free in our hearts and minds - We shall return. Now he is gone fancy being my new TA, As a special welcoming gift for being the newest member of my Greater Spongistanian Empire I will cede you one of my minor provinces, all you have to do in return is sign the TA, head north and kick out the traveling salesmen from Denmark, Czechoslovakia, France, Great Britain and anyone else who has decided to take a vacation in my country. The gig is up now, but I appreciate and respect a guy that will fight against all odds. Hopefully we can do it on the same side sometime. Right. I've only got a couple of turns left. I made some mistakes because I haven't played in a decade. Also, I have terrible luck with Lowlands. In all three games France got in two turns on me early because we processed on the same day. Portugal gone (quit) (+ Western European alliance) Germany gone (conquered, waiting for the last sponge to die) (+ Western European alliance) Lowlands gone (almost conquered, hanging in there with the last few resources) (+ Western European alliance) Suisse gone (conquered, government in exile) (+ southern Europe alliance) Morocco gone (or as good as, according to world events) (+ Algeria/Tunisia/UAE alliance) Saudi Arabia gone (conquered) (+ middle east alliance) (- Algeria/Tunesia/UAE alliance) Losing major cities: Sweden (a possible + for the Northern Europe alliance) Egypt (a possible + for the middle east alliance) Greece (the Balkan war is still undecided) Reversals: Hungary alive again. Winners in these first turns seem to be the Western Europe alliance. But there is already war between the Northern Europe and the Western Europe alliance. The Balkan is, as always, a warzone. Will the reversal of Hungary (if true) change the tide of the war, or has Italy already entered the country? On other fronts the war between Libya and Tunisia seems to be in a stalemate. With Morocco conquered, can Libya last? The Russian bear is quiet. Logical, as it's currently winter and bear usually aren't that active in the winter months. Come spring, when the bear wakes, ferociously hungry, who will be it's first victim? And how about the ocean-faring nations (not including Sponges)? Where will they set foot on dry land? Iceland lost his ally some time ago, Canada and the US have been awfully quiet as well. Will the whole of the middle east fall to the middle east alliance, or will Galactic Senator Kurassier find a way to save his country and help his allies, or vice versa. The gods of war have been against the Persian airforce, saving the UAE dive bombers several times, while they destroyed the Persian floating munition dumps en their destroyer escorts.
